"The Museum's collection includes funeral service records from the Griffin Funeral Home, Chicago, Illinois, which closed at the end of 2007. It was preceded by the Bell Auto & Undertaking Company. The amount of information in each record varies, and no records appear to exist from 1933 through 1938; however, the records from 1925 through 1932 and from 1974 through 2007 are quite complete. The Museum's collection includes funeral service records from the Pries Funeral Home, Lacon, Illinois. These records date between 1954 and 1993 when the firm closed.

None of the record groups are open for onsite examination, but if you are seeking information from either collection, please contact the staff at funeralmuseum@ifda.org for more information and to submit a search request."
