Museum Joins Select Group
The Museum of Funeral Customs was recently included in the March 28, 2007, special "Museums" section of the New York Times. The half-page article included photographs and was also available in an on-line edition. The special section examined many large and prominent institutions across America, and full-page ads from other large and heavily endowed museums read like a Who's Who in the museum profession. This nod from such a prominent journalistic resource, confirms the importance and magnitude of our institution's purpose, mission, and vision
Group Tour Packages Announced
The Museum now offers a variety of optional amenities for escorted groups who book a guided tour in advance designed to enrich our visitors' experience. In addition to the basic escorted tour, options can include a chocolate coffin, funeral cookies and sarsaparilla, and conversations with a Civil War era undertaker and a 1920s funeral director.
