Research Procedures and Policies

Have a question about funeral customs or history, or need help researching information? Let us know, what you need and we'll be happy to try to locate the information for you. We will provide one hour of research complimentary except for the cost of copies. Indepth research can be provided at cost at $25/per hour with the minimum of one hour charge. The Museum staff is able to respond to inquiries that can be answered by consulting material in the collection. Inquiries should be as specific as possible in regard to subject, historical time period, culture, country, etc. We are unable to conduct extensive research at no cost. Those seeking to conduct their own research are invited to schedule an appointment at the Museum or to contact the staff for an estimation of research time, costs, and a projected completion date.
